This October, GUES partnered with Slow Food to bake some delicious pumpkin muffins for Martha’s Table.

  • DC Central Kitchen

GUES members woke up bright and early on April 2 to drive out to volunteer at DCCK, assembling ingredients and chopping (lots of) tomatoes to create some delicious meals for nonprofits, youth programs, and shelters.

  • MSB Spring Benefit Gala

GUES partnered with the MSB Academic Council to raise money for DC Central Kitchen as a part of their first annual Benefit Gala in April.

  • Martha's Table

GUES partnered with SAFE to make sandwiches for Martha’s Table, a nonprofit committed to advancing a more equitable Washington, D.C., in April.

  • Immaculate Conception Christian Church

This past April, GUES members gathered to help prepare food for the church’s weekly meal donations. The meals were donated to the Fr. McKenna Center in NW DC, which supports men experiencing homelessness by providing food, shelter, clothing and services to support their journey toward stability and productivity.

  • City Blossoms

In March 2022, GUES worked with City Blossoms, an organization that helps engage kids with nature and healthy food practices through gardening. Fifteen members helped out with some basic gardening and upkeep for The Farm at Kelly Miller Spring, planting seedlings and seeds, weeding pathways, re-establishing some of the in-ground garden borders as needed, and cutting back perennials.
